AWCI Sponsors New ConsensusDOCS

Washington D.C.—The Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry (AWCI), Falls Church, Va., has joined the growing number of associations that support the construction industry's new ConsensusDOCS.

Released Sept. 28, 2007, ConsensusDOCS, supported by designers, owners, contractors and surety, is the new family of model contract documents based on best practices and proper risk allocation for the benefit of all members of the construction industry—and designed to increase efficiency in contract negotiations and project execution.

"AWCI is proud to endorse documents that will provide a better negotiating tool for all contractors," said AWCI President Kevin Biddle, a wall and ceiling contractor from New York. "Taking part in this process and signing off on such a historic document is another way that AWCI achieves its mission, which is to help its members run a more successful business."
