EJCDC documents are the preeminent standard contracts for horizontal construction such as municipal and utilities construction.

The 2007 edition offers many significant improvements including: β’ Use of ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ 221 Qualifications Statement and ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ 200.1 Materials Price Escalation Clause; β’ Clarified actual knowledge requirement for Contractorβs liability for failure to report discrepancies and conflicts; and, β’ Clarified Ownerβs obligations if Contractors encounter hazardous waste.
ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½, American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) are the four sponsors of the EJCDC documents. While previously an active endorser, the 2007 edition of EJCDC documents marks the first time ΒιΆΉ΄«Γ½ authored the construction documents as full partners in the drafting process.
